Caribou Droppings #2

The Ministry of Natural Resources is conducting research

on the “threatened” forest dwelling Woodland Caribou

population.

Ecologist Steve Kingston says they will be collecting

pellet samples from across Ontario.

Collecting droppings is a less invasive way of procuring

DNA samples from the at risk species.

First Nations, Members of the MNR and the general public

are encouraged to deliver pellets to the nearest MNR

office.
