One of the region’s longest running winter carnivals is taking place this weekend.
This is the 33rd annual carnival in Nestor Falls.

Spokesperson Howard Dodd says new this year is a winter challenge contest called the Wacky Winter Wipeout that puts participants through a variety of fun skills.
The festival kicks this morning with a day long ice-fishing tournament on Lake of the Woods.
