Northern and First Nation Police Services will be seeing an increase
in funding for new police officers thanks to the Ministry of Community
Safety and Correctional Services.
Ministry Spokesperson Anthony Brown says there will be 60-new police
officers hired in the North.
Brown adds they will be working on the front line in most situations.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation and Dryden Police will each receive money to
hire a police officer each.
