Cash From ON To Upgrade Child Care Centres

A one-time investment of $213M is being invested into childcare centres across the province.

As part of the $10-a-day child care deal made with the federal government in March, the one-time grant will help facilities to renovate, upgrade equipment and more. The investment is meant to help offset those upgrade costs from the providers.

In March, Ontario promised to create 71,000 new childcare spaces by 2026.

The Ford government is reporting that they are currently 21 per cent of the way complete, with 56,000 more spaces to go over the next three years.
