Catholic Board Balances the Books

Trustees with the Northwest Catholic District School Board have
approved the 2007-2008 budget.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly says expenditures will total
over $14.4-million, a decrease of 5.2% from last year.
Several roofing projects as well as electrical and plumbing upgrades
are included in the capital plan.
St. Joseph’s School in Dryden will be renovated thanks to Best Start
funding.
Student enrolment is projected to drop by 77-full-time students but
Howarth says the learning environment is as strong as its ever been.
