Some strong results from students within the Northwest Catholic District School Board.
Grade 3 students exceeded the provincial average in reading while grade 6 students equalled the average in reading and exceeded it in math.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly says they’re seeing tremendous progress over the past five years, especially at the Grade 3 level.
She notes reading results are up at individual schools 3-33% and writing results are up 8-48%.
Grade 6 scores improved in most areas from 4-44% over the past five years.
