The cause of a house fire on Taylor Street in Dryden is centered on electrical fixtures in the basement ceiling of the home.
No one was home when the blaze sparked just before 7 o’clock last night.
The fire was mopped up and fully extinguished by 10:15.
The residence suffered major smoke, fire and water damage in the basement, with structural fire damage to the floor, and smoke damage to the main floor areas
The Dryden Fire Service says the smoke alarms on each floor were in working order and sounding.
