Damage to a Wabigoon Drive home is estimated at over $100,000 as the result of a fire early Wednesday morning.
What is believed to be a discarded cigarette coupled with combustible building material outside started the blaze.
The Dryden Fire Service says this allowed the fire to grow without detection on the outside wall and into the attic roof space.
Fortunately the sound of the fast moving flames alerted one of the residents inside.
5-people escaped and Fire Officials say one person received treatment at Dryden Hospital for smoke inhalation and was released.
