The Atikokan Chamber of Commerce is in dire need of help.
Only 3 members have committed to the Board for the 2008-2009 term, with 10-positions needed to be filled under the Chamber By-Laws.
The Chamber was founded in 1948 and has been successful promoting the community as the Canoing Capital of Canada.
The organization is also the main centre for tourism inquiries and community events.
Officials say if a new Board of Directors can’t be formed by June 13th, the Chamber will dissolve by the end of Next month.
They add the Chamber is needed more now to work with all levels of Government to ensure the viability of the Community.
