People with smart meters who adjust their hydro use to take
advantage of the off-peak rate will pay a little less during the winter.
The rate will dip to 5.1 cents per kilowatt hour from 5.3.
The Ontario Energy Board says the mid-peak rate will rise to 8.1 cents from eight, and the on-peak rate will remain at 9.9 cents.
The rate for people on tied pricing will also drop a tenth of a cent, to 6.4 cents for the first one-thousand kilowatt hours and 7.4 cents above that.
