Changes At MNR; Firefighters Coming Home

It’s back to hitting the books for hundreds of young Ministry of Natural Resources firefighters in Northwestern Ontario.
The MNR is now in a transitional phase as it starts losing its summer staff.
Not to worry says Information Officer Debbie MacLean.
MacLean says they do some shuffling and they have other staff available to help fill the void.
Help is on the way for the Ministry of Natural Resources.
36 personnel who have been battling fires in British Columbia since August 19th are returning home today.
The fire situation in the western province has improved.
