Changes for Health Care in Northern Ontario

A plan for improving the health care system in Northwestern
Ontario has been unveiled by the Local Health Integration Network.
The Integrated Services Plan has been a work in progress over the past year.
Interim CEO of the Northwest LHIN’s Laura Kokochinski says part of the focus will be on reducing wait times in emergency rooms and improving access to care.
Kokochinski adds that the plan outlines goals to provide health care services as close to home as possible and improve the overall health of local residents.
