Changing The Criteria To Grant More Wishes and Help More Kids

The Children’s Wish Foundation is granting more wishes by including children with serious neurological and genetic diagnoses such as severe Cerebral Palsy.

Pediatrician Dr. Sarah Gander says the ‘More Wishes, More Wonders’ campaign is launching nation-wide.

Gander says wishes are granted for kids between the ages of 3 and 18 but now they are including referrals they used to deny because they weren’t a life-threatening illness.

The Children’s Wish Foundation aims to raise $10 million by the year 2021.

The organization has granted wishes to more than 22,000 children and their families since 1984.

Gander says she’s been able to witness the amazing experience children and their families go through when their wish is granted.
