Character Education Copy

The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has handed each

of it’s school principal’s 500 dollars to help with character

education.

Superintendent of Educationn Larry Hope says some of their

money for the program is coming from the province’s

anti-bullying fund.

Hope says the principal’s can use the money to purchase

literature, or anything that pertains to hte board’s seven

key attributes.

The character education program is baased on the first

nation’s grandfather teachings, which are responsibility,

kindness, respect, humility, bravery, honesty and wisdom.

A complete program is expected to be rolled out board wide

this September.
