Charges laid in August death of Sioux Lookout man

Police have charged a man from Sioux Lookout in connection to an incident from August.

Just before 6 p.m. on August 22, OPP officers from the Sioux Lookout detachment were called to a residence on Millar Crescent where officers found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The 34-year-old victim was transported to hospital where he died a week later.

At the time, officers described the alleged assault an ‘isolated incident’.

A 40-year-old man has now been charged and will appear in court in Kenora on Tuesday, Oct. 7 to face manslaughter charges.

The OPP are continuing their investigation.
