Charitable Status For ELA In Northwestern Ontario

The long term future of the Experimental Lakes Area, west of Vermilion Bay looks bright.
The International Institute For Sustainable Development has been granted full charitable status for the ELA.
Project Manager Matt McCandless says they can now issue tax receipts when collecting donations.
McCandless says the Institute has already received a $1-million donation for operations at the facility.
He hopes to eventually see the ELA fully supported by charitable donations.
