The former executive director of the Dryden Native Friendship Center is this year’s recipient of the Leonard Sky Building Bridges award.
It’s handed out annually by the Dryden Working Circle committee.
Cheryl Edwards was nominated for the award due to her outstanding leadership, and dedication to reconciliation, inclusion and community healing.
Edwards retired from the DNFC last spring, and she has been recognized for her years of service at the agency, which have left a last impact on the City of Dryden.
Along with the award and she was presented a special gift of the Star Blanket, which demonstrates great respect, honour, and admiration for the recipient.
