Fort William First Nation Chief Georjann Morriseau says she’ll believe it when she sees it.
She’s reacting to news that CN Rail has made an offer to Thunder Bay over the closed James Street Swing Bridge.
Morriseau is highly skeptical.
She says Indian Affairs and Northern Development Canada is willing to mediate the negations between the city, the company and Fort William First Nation.
A report on the deal is expected to come before January 19th.
The bridge has been closed to vehicle traffic since October of 2013 following a fire.
