Chief of Police Calling for New Youth Centre

Incidents of youth crime and youth alcohol abuse are on the rise in Dryden.
The Police Service has seen days when their lock up has been overflowing and officers are forced to work overtime.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says it will take a community effort to address the situation.
MacKinnon believes a new Youth Centre would help turn things around.
He says he’s hoping to hold a public meeting next month to discuss the Youth Centre.
MacKinnon adds the City should work with the Federal and Provincial Governments to finance the project.
