Dryden’s new Chief of Police has been sworn in.
Rob Davis brings with him a wealth of experience with Nishnawbe-Aski Police and most recently Six Nations Police.
Davis believes that experience will help him deal with the changing demographic in the community.
Davis stresses he would also like to see more foot patrols to ensure that officers are in constant communication with area residents.
He also plans to implement strategies to help area youth keep busy and stay out of trouble.
Davis has plenty of ties to this area.
His mom is from Dryden, his wife is from Fort Frances and his great grandfather was former Dryden Mayor CJ Wright.
He also spent 2-years working in Sioux Lookout.
