The Chiefs of Ontario is renewing its call for a national inquiry on missing and murdered Indigenous women.
Regional Chief Stan Beardy says they are tired of waiting for a federal government to act on the matter and that’s why they are holding regional hearings.
Beardy stresses families and communities need some closure and a “sense of hope”.
The families of missing and murdered Aboriginal women in northwestern Ontario continue to tell their stories.
