The Ontario Government plans to take a close look at the child care system.
The Government is responding to deficits recorded by a number of child care agencies in Northwestern Ontario.
Brad Duguid is the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and says they want to ensure money spent on child care is being spent well.
Duguid says there’s clearly a problem, especially in First Nation communities, and they have to find a solution.
However, he suggests money spent has tripled in the past ten years with no appreciable increase in caseload.
Duguid was in Kenora earlier this week.
