Children and Youth Agency’s Merging

The Patricia Centre for Children and Youth is officially merging with the Lake of the Woods Child Development Center on Friday.
Patricia Centre President Jackie Mitchell says both organizations are unique, which will make the delivery of child and family services stronger.
Mitchell says they will be able to combine children mental health services and rehabilitation services.
She notes the merger will allow staff to share ideas and will create more options, for more families.
There will be no impact on staffing numbers.
The new Agency will be known as ‘Firefly’.
The Organization will serve the area’s of Dryden, Machin, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Ignace and Kenora.
