Dryden Firefighters were put to work around the supper hour Monday.
A 9-11 call of a chimney fire sent crews from both halls to 44
Meadows Rd where a dozen personel spent the next hour dealing with the
blaze & taking the brick & masonary chimney.
Everyone in the home was able to escape safely & only minor smoke
damage occurred due to their quick reaction.
Officials say the call emphasizes the need to check chimney & stove
installations & have them cleaned regularly by qualified people.
