The face of the Minnesota Iron Rangers is leaving the organization.
Chris Walby has announced his resignation as Iron Rangers head coach and general manager.
In four seasons at the helm, Walby guided the club to a 113-93-2-16 record in 224-games.
His most successful season was in 2014, when he took the Iron Rangers to the Bill Salonen Cup finals in which the team lost in seven games to the Fort Frances Lakers.
No reason was given behind his decision, but Walby stated in a release that it wasn’t an easy move.
The search for a new coach and GM is now underway.
