Christine Robertson Nicoll

In loving memory of Christine Robertson Nicoll of Dryden who passed away on Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre at the age of 89. Chrissie was born September 11, 1925 in Fort Qu-Appelle, Saskatchewan, the youngest child of Thomas and Agnes Henderson. The family moved to Dryden by train when she was a small child. She attended Britton school until Grade 8, after which she worked first in a restaurant and later in St. Regis Bag Factory. On December 19, 1945 she married Ray Nicoll and they continued to live primarily in the Dryden area. They raised five children – Dale, Bill, Bonnie, Colleen and Shannon. She was a very giving and caring person who would help others regardless of personal sacrifice. A sense of humor and her trust in the Lord brought her through many difficult times and she always had a ready laugh. She was predeceased by her husband Ray, son Bill, daughter Colleen, grandsons Todd and Jordan, son-in-law Bill Groves, her three brothers and their wives–Jack (Elsie), Tom (Lillian), Bill (Grace) and one brother-in-law Bill Trist. She is survived by her daughter Dale (Rick) Hill, Bonnie (Dan) Bazinet, Shannon (Carl) Hatfield, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her sister Grace Trist and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 19th, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 20th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
