City of Dryden Budget Meeting

Concerns surrounding funding for the Dryden Fire Service highlighted discussions during a public meeting on the 2010 City of Dryden Budget Monday night.
Delegates asked the City to provide funding for an extra staff member.
Communities in Bloom asked the City to maintain funding for the beautification program as well as add staff for Parks and Recreation.
The Dryden Soccer Club also approached officials asking what the future holds for a multi-use Recreation Centre in North Dryden as well as drainage issues at the Soccer complex.
The City of Dryden is still facing a $3-million deficit in the combined 2010 operating and capital budget.
The final budget is expected to be presented in January.
