City Of Dryden Out With 2015 Capital Budget

The City of Dryden is planning on spending $5.8-million on capital projects in 2015.
Treasurer John Cummings says taxpayers would be on the hook for about $2.5-million of the work.
The rest of the money would come from federal and provincial grants.
Nearly $2.8-million has been earmarked for the Waterworks Department, while roughly $1-million has been earmarked for roads, docks and bridges.
The Airport budget is $280,000 and that includes money set aside for a new Front-end loader and a Live Scan Fingerprint system.
Cummings says the budget also includes $150,000 for a new Handi-Transit van but Council still has to decide if it plans to take over the service.
Also included in the document is funding set aside for an ice rink-curling rink conversion system.
Another highlight is the completion of the Duke Street rebuild.
