City Of Dryden Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment Program

The City of Dryden Fire Service will be accepting applications for volunteer firefighters until the end of the day Friday.
Chief Ken Kurz says you must be a Dryden resident and must pass the minimum training requirements for a firefighter.
Costs associated with obtaining certificates or licenses will be borne by the Fire Service.
Kurz says interested volunteers will be trained on responding to fires, motor vehicle collisions and hazardous material incidents.
Kurz notes they have gone 3-years without a recruitment class and notes there’s vacancies and shortages at both the downtown Fire Hall and the rural East Fire Hall.
He stresses there’s a need for extra bodies during the day.

-Valid First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain certificate
-Ability to pass a physical exam
