City Staff Come Up With Balanced Budget

The City of Dryden has come up with a balanced budget.
Staff were tasked to come up with solutions to a $415,000 deficit and City Manager Joe van Koeverden says they have accomplished their goal.
Van Koeverden says the savings found won’t impact service levels and adds the budget may even show a small surplus.
Van Koeverden adds they have avoided some cuts.
The Youth Centre and the Summer Student program have avoided the axe and will continue in 2013.
Van Koeverden notes the Summer Student program will be reduced.
Specific details on the 2013 budget will be known Monday night and Council is poised to approve the document on February 18th.
There is no word on a possible tax increase.
