The Rainy River District School Board continues to fair well when it comes to average class sizes.
Superintendent of Business Laura Mills notes at the primary level from J-K to Grade 3, the public board is ahead of the game according to provincial guidelines.

Looking at the entire elementary level, J-K to Grade 8, Mills says the public board is also doing well with an average class size of almost 21.4 students, falling under the provincial guideline of 24.5 students.
Secondary school class sizes will be released in the spring.
In the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, the average class size is also under the provincial average. For Junior Kindergarten to Grade Three, classes average almost 20 students. The average class size increases for J.K. to Grade 8 at 21.6 pupils per classroom.
