Legislation designed to protect drinking water at the source is expected to pass third and final reading in the Ontario legislature this afternoon.
Environment Minister Laurel Broten says the new legislation will ensure that Ontario has some of the best protected drinking water in the world.
The Opposition says the province has not provided adequate funding to help farmers and rural municipalities cope with increased costs of complying with the Clean Water Act.
