Coal Plants not so bad?

A report by Energy Probe says coal-fired power stations aren’t as big a polluter as originally thought.
The group says 2 of the units at the Lambton generating station near Sarnia rank in the top 10 cleanest in North America.
Energy Probe also ranked Atikokan & Thunder Bay highly on the list of 403 facilities surveyed.
despite that Tom Adams says it makes no sense to shut down Ontario plants & import large amounts of power from dirtier coal-fired stations in the US.
The province maintains they will be closed no later than 2009.
