Cochenour Water Supply No Longer Safe

The Ministry of Health and Northwestern Health Unit have been notified that the Cochenour water supply is no longer safe for consumption.
Officials say the water may be contaminated with arsenic which could be from the old Cochenour Mine.
Residents are asked to not use the water drinking, cooking or brushing teeth.
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
