The City of Dryden is trying erase an apparent perception that Public Works employees abuse their coffee and lunch breaks.
The issue was raised by Councilor Ken Moss who believes there are some in the community who feel staff are taking lengthy breaks.
Moss stresses City staff as a whole should be reminded of the regulations.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says management has met with staff to reinforce the Coffee and Meal Break policy and everyone has provided a signature understanding the rules.
Nuttall says folks see staff on the front line and they are among the first to be targeted if taxes go up.
He notes 99.9% of Public Works staff work hard.
