Coffee Time at The Vermilion Bays Lions Hall

Submitted by Connie Calvert

On November 15, the Lion’s held a Coffee Time at The Lion’s Hall in Vermilion Bay.

The evening was filled with live, local musical talent.

Everett Rourke provided state of the art sound.

The Sunset Country Ukuleles lead by Susanne Bastable started the evening off with a repertoire of familiar tunes. Attendees sang along or tapped their feet.  Great work and so much fun!

They were followed by local talent Bonnie Leutschaft who played a harmonica, guitar and sang along at the same time. Take a bow, Bonnie. Impressive!

Michelle Carter captured the audience with her tunes after dealing with technical difficulties. You think fast on your feet when you’re a performer. Well done Michelle!

Shannon Murdick finished off the night with beautiful renditions of a few songs and finished with my favourite, ‘Tennessee Whiskey’.

Awesome job Shannon!

We are privy to excellent local musical talent and an opportunity to enjoy it was such a treat.  Huge thank you to all involved.
