Provincial Police have made an arrest in the death of a 21-year-old Shoal Lake #40 resident almost seven and a half years ago.
Police re-opened the cold case recently after receiving new information.
Back on April 30th, 2011, Daniel Green was killed in a hit and run in the island community west of Kenora.
At the time, the OPP say they didn’t have enough evidence to lay any charges.
However on Thursday, police arrested 27-year-old Ricky Green of Shoal Lake #40 and charged him with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
An investigation is being carried out by OPP, Treaty Three Police, the Forensic Identification Unit, Technical Traffic Investigators and the Northwest Crime Unit.
