College Support Staff Strike Drags On

The union for 8,000 striking Ontario college support workers, including Confederation College, invited management to return to the bargaining table, provided it brings a “fresh approach” to the talks.
But Don Sinclair, with the management bargaining team, says the colleges aren’t interested in going back.
Sinclair says it’s unlikely a deal could be reached unless the union recognizes the fiscal constraints the colleges are under.
Wages, benefits and job security are key issues for the workers, who walked out a week ago.
