A Colorado man has been fined $1,000 for allowing the
flesh of a game animal to spoil.
The 62-year-old man, who owns a cottage in the Nestor Falls area,
pleaded guilty in a Kenora Court and was banned from hunting for 1-year.
Court heard that 62-year-old Thomas Rusin killed a buck white
tailed deer last November but failed to gut the deer because he didn’t have
a knife.
By the time the animal was picked up and gutted, the meat smelled bad
and the interior cavity had turned green.
