Physicians and health administrators from 13-communities across
Northwestern Ontario are in the midst of implementing a new $11-million
colorectal cancer screenging initiative.
Stakeholders met Wednesday to discuss the first phase of the Provincial
initiative, screening anyone over the age of 50.
Dr. Peter McGee says colorectal cancer is prevelant in this Region.
The program will allow Hospitals in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances
to enchance screening programs.
