Provincial Police in Pickle Lake are asking commercial drivers to double check when inspecting their vehicles prior to travel.
OPP say they will be ramping up enforcement over the winter months and stress they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to unsafe commercial vehicles.
Officers recently responded to a disabled vehicle in the community and discovered five tires that were deemed unfit for the road.
The vehicle was taken out of service until the tires were replaced and the driver was charged.
