The Dryden Walleye Tournament will now be known as the Shaw Walleye Masters.
Shaw Cable has jumped on board as the major sponsor for the June Classic.
Spokesperson Kyle Glieheisen says they have big plans for the fishing tournament.
The Tournament will be broadcast live across Canada, with the potential of 30,000 viewers.
Glieheisen says the purpose is to put Dryden on the map and help the City gain national exposure.
He notes the broadcast and prospective advertising will draw visitors and fisherman from across the Country.
Committee Vice-Chair John Butts says the first place payout will be the highest for any walleye Tournament in Northern Ontario-Manitoba at a guaranteed $15,000.
Butts adds there will be over $45,000 cash and prizes in the pot, with the top 20 teams receiving cash.
He points out that Real Fishing Host Bob Izumi will be here with his niece Mariko.
The deal with Shaw is one year guaranteed, with an option of 2-additional years.
The announcement was made on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday.
