It’s the opportunity to help fund a community project. The Ontario Tire Stewardship’s Community Renewal Fund is a grant that gives 50 thousand dollars for projects that use Ontario recycled rubber.
Executive Director of Ontario Tire Stewardship Andrew Horsman mentions a benefit of the fund saying that it uses unused recycled rubber and makes it into projects such as jungle gym floors, arena walkways and much more.
Applications from municipalities, registered non-profit community groups, schools and First Nation communities are still being accepted until Oct. 31st.
