The family of a Kenora correctional services officer who was held hostage this past Friday is thanking the community for their support.
John Tsentouros was held hostage by several prisoners and finally released just after 4:00.
The family says they had the best case outcome which was that John was released with minimal physical injuries.
The release goes on to say he is forever grateful for everyone involved with his safe release.
A Go Fund Me Page has been set up to support the family.
So far over 10 thousand dollars has been raised for what it calls the Hero Correctional Officer.
