Say goodbye to pencils and paper and say hello to portable computers.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is giving every student from grade 4 to 12 a netbook or lap top computer when they enter school this fall.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says they’ve been working on their 21st Century Learning plan for quite some time.
McMaster says the initiative was Trustee driven.
The plan will cost about $2.3-million this year and the money will come from the board’s reserves.
The board is also planning to purchase 335 IPads for students in Kindergarten through to grade 3.

Computers For Everyone!
