Con College And Lakehead Offer Nursing Program

A program that’s received positive feedback in the region is being offered once again.
Confederation College and Lakehead University are extending their Bachelor of Science Nursing program through the college’s regional campuses.
Corrine Gallagher is one of the instructors and says there is great demand for these positions.
She says hospitals are very clear at advocating they want more nurses, and says that if students are educated in our community, they’re more likely to stay in Northwestern Ontario.
Gallagher adds putting this out now gives students lots of time to prepare.
An information session is being held on June 13 from 3:30 to 5pm at the College’s campuses in Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
