Health Canada is looking at a plan to help turn around the suicide rate
among aboriginal youth and has set aside $140-million for prevention
initiatives.
Minister of State for Northern Development Ethel Blondin-Andrew says
the situation is critical in parts of Canada including Northwestern Ontario.
Blondin-Andrew says they hope to role out some programs in the near future.
However, she notes it will be nearly impossible to eradicate the
problem for good.
