3-electrical projects in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts have been given the green light by the Provincial Government.
However, Kenora-Rainy River M.P.P. Howard Hampton says there are some concerns about the 8-billion dollar green energy announcement made by the province.
Hampton says there is a 50 percent domestic content requirement, which some of the projects may not be able to meet.
Projects that have been given the go-ahead in the region are the 6.4 megawatt run-of-the river project at High Falls on the Namakan River, the Trout River project near Ear Falls and a Solar Park in Stratton Township.
