Confederation College is looking forward to a new school year.
President Jim Madder says enrollment is up this year.
Madder says programs related to environment, mining, technology and natural resources are full of students.
College officially starts Thursday.
Meantime, faculty at Ontario’s 24 colleges, including Confederation College, will vote on a tentative contact
next Monday.
The agreement was reached late last month averting a possible strike by the 10,000 faculty.
The two-year deal freezes salaries and benefits remain the same.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union is recommending
acceptance.
