Interested in a career in long haul or forestry truck driving?
Confederation College wants to get you down that path with the introduction of a new AZ Truck Driver program.
Manager of Training Initiative and Workforce Development Jason Ozbolt says the local demand for skilled workers in that field is growing each and every day.
Ozbolt says the Mandatory Entry Level Training program will provide classroom and practical training, including real-world scenarios, defensive driving and even testing.
The program will be launched in Thunder Bay, but Ozbolt says if there is interest in Dryden, Fort Frances and Kenora, they will branch out.
Ozbolt says graduates will possess the necessary skill-set to seek employment as a truck driver for a wide range of vehicles.
